निर्मला सीतारमण एक भारतीय राजनेता हैं। उनका जन्म 18 अगस्त 1959 को तमिलनाडु के मदुरै में हुआ था। उनके पिता और माता का नाम नारायणन सीतारमण और सावित्री है। वह भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) से संबंध रखती हैं । वह 2006 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी में शामिल हुईं। वह भारत की वर्तमान वित्त और कॉर्पोरेट मामलों की मंत्री (2019 से) हैं।
वह 2014 से भारतीय संसद के राज्यसभा, उच्च सदन की सदस्य हैं। उन्होंने भारत की रक्षा मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया जो भारत की दूसरी महिला रक्षा मंत्री बनीं, इंदिरा गांधी के बाद दूसरी महिला वित्त मंत्री भी बनीं । जेएनयू (जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय) ने उन्हें 2019 में विशिष्ट पूर्व छात्र पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। उसे फोर्ब्स पत्रिका में 34 वें स्थान पर २०१९ में दुनिया में १०० सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं के बीच ।
