लाल कृष्ण आडवाणी एक भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ हैं। उनका जन्म 8 नवंबर 1927 को कराची में हुआ था। उन्होंने अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के तहत 2002 से 2004 तक भारत के 7 वें उप प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में सेवा की। वह सह-संस्थापकों में से एक हैं और भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता हैं। उन्होंने 1998 से 2004 तक BJP के नेतृत्व वाली राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन सरकार में गृह मामलों के मंत्री के रूप में सेवा की। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के स्वयंसेवक के रूप में अपने राजनीतिक कैरियर की शुरुआत की। वह 10 वीं लोकसभा 14 वीं लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता थे। वह 2009 के आम चुनावों में राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन के प्रधानमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार थे। उन्हें भारत के दूसरे सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।
